Merkur is a monthly print publication by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. We created several infographics which were published in the magazine including a reinterpretation of “Alice in wonderland”, describing Alice’s magical journey into the Grand Duchy.

The CommunicOcean illustration explains the complex topic of communication in the form of a nautical map with its shipping routes and islands. MeteoInfographics was based on a weather map, using the high and low pressure areas to illustrate economic forecasts for 2016.

Brochure about nature conservation tips for gardens owners

Gardens in urban and rural areas often offer a space of tranquillity to their owners. However, gardens can also be great for providing food and shelter to animals, including endangered species. Our task was to create a brochure educating garden owners about the potential ecological value of their garden, encouraging them to implement small changes, contributing to nature preservation. Structuring the information for clarity was of utter importance. Gardening tips were drawn up in an appealing visual design, serving as a framework for the brochure, to which we added quirky copy. The brochure was printed using a single colour on recycled paper.

Therefore we change written information we got and such we search into visual forms and create varied infographics. Short textes complete the infographics so that interesting articles about lots of different subjects result.

Corporate design & brand campaign – Fro de Bauer

Fro de Bauer

‘Ask the farmer’ is an initiative by the Young farmers & country youth of Luxembourg. Through the aid of photographs and illustrations we created posters increasing awareness about the value of agriculture. In this poster series, young farmers, now including women, promote their profession through slogans. Complementing the visuals were a series of infographics explaining the direct influence agriculture has on our lives with regards to food and the environment.

Exhibition on water pollution and how to reduce it

Creating displays showing the most common causes of water pollution - how this impacts our water and how to prevent it.

Our daily lives, without us being aware of it, cause different types of water pollution. Nanoparticles in sunscreen, cosmetics or food; micro plastics in clothes and cosmetics; medication and harmful substances in paints and enamels… all these substances which enter our water system, adversely affect the world’s marine fauna. Because of this water pollution, eating seafood and fish can seriously damage our health. To protect our health and environment, we must raise awareness of how harmful substances are present in our daily lives. With this in mind, the Luxembourg Water Management Authority planned an exhibition on water pollution, its main causes and the possibilities to reduce or avoid it. In this context, Human Made created five displays, each showing one type of pollution, its negative effects and ways to prevent it. Displays were made up of red, yellow and green colours ensuring a clear presentation.

Biodiversum exhibiton

Visual identity for the exhibition of the new nature conservation center Biodiversum- Haff Remich

A brand-new exhibition takes place in Luxembourg: hosted in a iconic architectural building perfectly integrated in extraordinary nature surroundings. In collaboration with the Ministry of sustainable development (MDDI) the communication specialists from HUMAN MADE designed the exhibition concept and created a world of experience.

We used various visualisation tools to represent a very large amount of data. Thereby visual intelligence replaces a majority of textual information. Illustrations are all based on geometrical forms and are completed by dynamic drawings, slight abstractions and organic effects. Infographics are also using simple, classical design forms in order to arrange an unagitated minimalistic layout, which compete with the very special architecture of the building. The simplicity of the layout is also used for the icons, leading through the exhibition. We also created in a simplified design approach the logo representing the Biodiversum and its surrounding nature with a large variety of wild birds.
